Mark Lebwohl graduated summa cum laude from Columbia College in 1974 and graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1978. He completed residencies in internal medicine and dermatology, both at Mount Sinai. Lebwohl has been practicing dermatology since 1983. He is professor and chairman of the Department of Dermatology of The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Lebwohl has served as president of the New York Dermatological Society, the Manhattan Dermatologic Society, and the New York State Society of Dermatology, and as chairman of the Dermatology Section of the New York Academy of Medicine. Lebwohl has served as chairman of the Psoriasis Task Force of the American Academy of Dermatology, and has directed the AAD’s annual Psoriasis Symposium, Diagnostic Update Symposium and Therapeutics Symposium. He was a member of the Scientific Assembly Council, and chaired Academy 2001 in California and the AAD annual meeting in Washington, D.C. in 2004. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the AAD for 2010-2014. Lebwohl was the 2014-15 President- Elect of the American Academy of Dermatology, and served as the AAD President in 2015-16. Lebwohl is chairman of the Medical Board of the National Psoriasis Foundation. He is the founding editor of Psoriasis Forum and has been medical editor of the bulletin of the National Psoriasis Foundation, Psoriasis Advance. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and is editor of the Dermatology Section of Scientific American Medicine, now called ACP Medicine. Lebwohl has chaired numerous symposia and has written, edited, or co-edited several books including the first atlas devoted entirely to cutaneous manifestations of systemic disease, and the leading book on dermatologic therapy, Treatment of Skin Disease. The second edition of The Skin and Systemic Disease has been published in English and in French, and English, Portuguese, and Polish versions of Treatment of Skin Disease have been published. Other books include Difficult Diagnoses in Dermatology, Psoriasis, Mild-to-Moderate Psoriasis and Moderate-to-Severe Psoriasis. He has authored or co-authored over 500 publications including peer-reviewed articles, invited articles and book chapters. Lebwohl is actively involved in clinical trials of many new dermatologic treatments.

In 1981, Dr Das joined Academic Medical Center-University of Amsterdam , as an Assoicate Professor at the departments of Dermatology and Pathology and formed his Research group on “Tissue specific Immune reactivity with a focuss on Deramato- Pathological Research”. He was awarded an official status of Professorship until his retirement in 2006 . Since his retirement, Professor Das continues to work on various reseach themes in collaboration with various International institutes and he still is an active honorary member of the Pathology dept. And Genom Analysis Laboratory of AMC-UvA and dept. Of Infectious diseases Leiden University Medical Centere, Netherland. Iona Weir completed her PhD at Auckland University and a sabbatical at the Ontario Cancer Institute. After 12 years as a Senior Scientist at Plant and Food Research Institute in New Zealand, she moved into the private sector where for the last 15 years, she was CSO and Director for several companies including BioDiscovery NZ Ltd, Lypanosys and Vital Food Processors Ltd. She is the co-founder and CEO of Decima Health Ltd, a New Zealand natural products biotechnology R&D company. She has published more than 30 papers in reputed journals and has 4 patents granted.

Diamant Thaçi graduated in 1989 with a medical degree from the University of Pristina, Pristina, Kosovo. He remained in Pristina until 1992, specializing in dermatology and venereology, before taking up a post in the Department of Dermatology and Venerology at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. He became a board certified dermatologist and venereologist in 1995 and, from 1997, Dr Thaçi has held the roles of Senior Consulting Specialist in Dermatology, Director of Clinical Research, and Head of Photodermatology Division at the university. He became Associate Professor of Dermatology, Venerology and Allergology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, and in 2013 was appointed Professor and Head of the Comprehensive Center for Inflammation Medicine, University of Luebeck, Luebeck, Germany. Thaçi’s research experience covers immunology and all stages of clinical drug development. Between 2002 and 2015 he was involved in more than 200 psoriasis trials, and was lead investigator on several national and international multicenter trials. In addition to his clinical commitments, Dr Thaçi lectures on scoring systems in dermatology and is involved in the training of study personnel and publishing articles and book chapters in dermatology. Dr Thaçi has been a recipient of the Theodor‐Stern Foundation Award for excellent clinical research. He is an active member of the Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (GRAPPA) and the International Psoriasis Council.

His research experience covers immunology and all stages of clinical drug development. Between 2002 and 2015 he was involved in more than 300 clinical trials, and was lead investigator on several national and international multicenter trials in chronic inflammatory skin diseases. Abdel-Naser has completed his PhD from the Free University of Berlin, Germany where he also received training in the field of Dermatology and Venereology (1989-1992). He recived the title of Dr. Med. (PhD) in 1992 from the Free University if Berlin (FU). He worked as a research Fellow at New York University Medical Center, New York, USA (1993-1995) and his main reasrch field was melanocyte biology and related disorders, such as vitiligo and melanoma. He is currently working as a visiting Prof. Of Dermatology and Venereology, Dessau Medical Center, Dessau. Germany. He published more than 37 papers in reputed journals and contributed to more than 12 chapters in Textbooks in the field of melanocyte and sebocyte biology and related disorders.
