Biography
Educated [ Schooling and the basic University, B.Sc {hons}/M.Sc. ] in Chittagong and Dacca, presently in Bangladesh. In 1963 Migrated to United Kingdom and since 1968 obtained British Natinality Professionally: Since 1964; Basic grade clinical biochemist at the The united sheffield hospitals university of Sheffield,UK and awardee of Endowmend Fellowship for Ph.D programme with a project "Studies on Human Choliesterase Variants (acyl choline acetyl esterase)" until 1968. In 1969 obtained the Ph.D. degree from the University of London, in February and was awarded a Post doctoral fellowship from UK Muscular Dystrophy Association and Junior Lecturership of Guy, Hospital Medical School, London UK; until 1971. In 1971 Lecturership in the British University of Hong Kong until 1974. In 1974 awardee of a Research Assoociateship Monteral General Hospital Research Institute, University of McGill, Canada, until 1975. 1n 1975 , Awardee of Senior Humboldt Foundation Docentship at the Institute of Human Genetics, University of Hamburg, Germany. Then in 1976 awardee of Teaching/Research Associateship at the International Traing Center for Immunology (ITR) under the auspieces of WHO, Central Blood Transfusion Laboraotories/University of Amsterdam , Netherlands until 1981. In 1981, Dr Das joined Academic Medical Center-University of Amsterdam , as an Assoicate Professor at the departments of Dermatology and Pathology and formed his Research group on “Tissue specific Immune reactivity with a focuss on Deramato- Pathological Researchâ€. He was awarded an official status of Professorship until his retirement in 2006 . Since his retirement, Professor Das continues to work on various reseach themes in collaboration with various International institutes and he still is an active honorary member of the Pathology dept. And Genom Analysis Laboratory of AMC-UvA and dept. Of Infectious diseases Leiden University Medical Centere, Netherland. His current affiliation is as follows.: Honorary Sr, Research Fellow, School of Immunity and Infection,Colleges of Mdical and Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham, UK; Honorary Sr, Lecturer, School of Population Science and International Health,University of Birmingham, UK; Honorary Sr. Research and Teaching Associate, Depts of Genome Analysis and Pathology (Neuropathology Unit), AMC-UvA, Amsterdam, Netherlands; Guest Professor, Inst. Lauro Souza Lima, Bauru, Sao Paulo, Brazil; Professor of Immuedeficiency and Inflammation, Inst. Pediatrics, University of Brescia, Italy.

Inflammation, Immunity , focussing on autoimmune like idiopathic diseases l (Vitiligo, Psoriasis,) , Intracellular infections (leprosy/tuberculosis),Cardiovscular (Atherosclerosis),inflammatory bowel diseases (iBD) , Cancer (melanoma/glyoma and colon cancer), and neuroscience.
